Testing

People accumulate toxins at different rates and store them in different parts of the body. Stress, emotions and trauma and DNA-profile, can heavily impair the natural capacity of the body to eliminate these toxins. It is therefore important to test every person individually to establish the safest program to offload the body burden of toxins.

Basic mineral test:

Minerals are essential for life and are also the beginning of life. They are rejuvenating and detoxifying. The secret of E-Lyte minerals is in the ability to test each one separately. Taking only the ones you need is paramount and the only way to take minerals. At the ISH SKO Centre we encourage our patients to regularly test their mineral status by using our in-house mineral taste test. Toxic metals displace our mineral balance and they only uncouple from their receptor filed when there is an abundance of the beneficial minerals available.

Laboratory test:

The ISH KSO Centre uses a variety of urine/saliva/blood tests depending on the health status of the patient. The most common tests are described below:

Heavy Metals Challenge Test

DESCRIPTION: This test measures urinary excretion of nutrient elements and toxic metals, including “classic” toxics such as lead, mercury, and arsenic. This is an ideal test for patients suspected of toxic element exposure as well as potential nutrient mineral wasting.

ANALYTE LIST: Creatinine –Potassium – Arsenic – Lead- Molybdenum - Selenium-Vanadium – Barium – Aluminum – Cadmium – Cobalt – Iron – Lithium – Manganese – Rubidium – Strontium- Sulfur - Thallium-Tin – Uranium – Zinc – Bismuth – Copper- Gallium – Nickel – Platinium – Thorium – Tungsten – Cesium – Gadolinium - Mercury-Niobium – Calcium – Chromium- Antimony - Magnesium

Homocysteine

DESCRIPTION: Total plasma homocysteine levels are widely implicated in a variety of clinical conditions and are an independent risk factor for cardiovascular, atherothrombotic and cerebrovascular disease. Certain key nutrients, including Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6 and folic acid, are necessary for homocysteine metabolism; therefore this test can also provide valuable information about a patient’s nutritional status relating to these nutrients.

Essential & Metabolic Fatty Acids Analyses

DESCRIPTION: This test evaluates the level of red cell membrane fatty acids, imbalances of which significantly affect inflammatory and other disorders. By knowing the various fatty acid levels, one can re-establish a balance using nutritional intervention.

Vitamin D

DESCRIPTION: Vitamin D has a hormone like effect, which has a high prevalence of deficiency and insufficient even in normal populations. There is growing evidence that vitamin D is involved in an increasing number of chronic diseases including bone disease, cancer, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue and mental health problems
